Air Con Heating, Cooling & Ventilation
Air conditioning units not only cool the air in summer but also warm the air during winter. An internal filtering system will also clean your air by removing air bound dust and moisture.
At Abbey we can supply and fit air conditioning units in a variety of properties including houses, summers houses, conservatories etc.
Air conditioning units are generally cheaper to run than an existing hot water system, the also require very little maintenance, and most systems are now A rated.
We fit wall mounted, cassettes that fit flush with the ceiling and low wall mounted units for conservatories.
Wireless Room Thermostats
Wire free room thermostats are used when it’s not practical to run cables between the room thermostat and heating controls.
Using radio signals, a typical unit communicates up to 30 metres away from the room thermostat.
You can control the heating temperature throughout your property with this unit, they are sometimes considered vital if you have several rooms or have difficulty moving throughout your property. Rather than visiting each room to adjust the heat, you can do it remotely.
Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating gently warms the air evenly, eliminating any cold spots within the room commonly found with just a radiator.
Underfloor heating is very comfortable to walk over bare foot as it removes the cold chill from hard surfaces. Our electricians can install heating under bathroom tiles, wooden floors or carpets and in the kitchen, bathroom or conservatory etc.
Water based underfloor heating systems require low temperature and pressured hot water and is ideal for use with modern condensing boilers.
We also install electric underfloor heating which generally require less installation work than a water based system, please call for advice from one of our electricians on the best system to suit your needs.
Panel Heaters and Electric Boilers
Electric boilers are more and more often used in place of gas boilers in conventional heating systems as they are compact, and can be run off cheap rate electricity plus they are completely silent.
Panel heaters are used as an addition or alternative to standard central heating systems. They are designed to look like a panel fitted flat to a wall and they are operated via an electric socket.
Electric Fires
Electric fires draw a lot of power and are often operated for several hours at a time. Sufficient power to the fire is essential for reliability and safety.
Here we can install your pre-purchased electric fires, alternatively, why not let our team of professionals recommend, supply and fit the ideal fire to suit you living room and budget.
If necessary we will also upgrade your fuse board to cope with the large power demands of the fire.
As NICEIC Approved Contractors, and many years experience, you can be assured our work is to the highest safety standards and meets current regulations. We self-certify all work and provide you with the required certificates.
